Just to say a big thank you to everyone who took part in the ADTTA Banded singles event at Balgownie Pavilion yesterday, the event was a great success thanks you to all, we very much appreciate that and hope you enjoyed the event.
There were lots of very close matches, with all results available on Stadium Compete website:
Band 1 was very closely fought, with Lauren Diack (Inverurie) taking the honours and going through the event undefeated. Lauren was pushed all the way by Parker Allerton (ASV) who took second place. A great match took place between the two players, with Lauren coming out on top after a 5-set thriller, with 2 of the sets going to deuce and beyond!
Band 2 also threw up lots of exciting matches, but it was Bong Ki Son (Triangle) who proved too strong and also went through the day undefeated, winning all his games. The rest of the Band really was very tight, but Graham Boyne (Triangle) battled through a couple of tight matches and took the runner-up spot.
Big thanks must also go to Alison & Gregor for keeping things running smoothly throughout the day, making sure any technical aspects were operating as they should, and Gregor taking photographs across the event which will be available to view shortly. Another thank you also to Mark Brown, who came along to help the event run smoothly, but stepped into play when we found ourselves one player short. Mark ensured all players got the correct amount of allotted matches during the day, while realising his own scores wouldn’t actually count towards the event! Great effort!
Well done to everyone again, and we look forwards to running another similar event in the not too distant future.
