To name a few out of the many
While our association benefits from the support of many valued volunteers, a small number of individuals consistently go above and beyond, dedicating countless hours to initiatives that have shaped and strengthened our table tennis community.
Donald Pirie has been the driving force behind many of our key initiatives for years, from helping with anything ASV-related and involvement with Aberdeen Table Tennis Academy to running the University TT Club, and more recently leading the exciting Balgownie Pavilion project. Across the city, Dick Ferro works tirelessly to coordinate sessions, support coaches and volunteers, and ensure everything runs smoothly. Max Singer’s outstanding commitment as Head Academy Coach has transformed the experience of countless players, demonstrating just how much one person can achieve through enthusiasm and dedication. Meanwhile, Natalie Gallan continues to inspire and support our youngest players through her coaching, while also providing invaluable care and reassurance as an NPC at tournaments, always putting players’ wellbeing first. Together, they embody the spirit of volunteering that keeps our sport growing, welcoming and inspiring for everyone.

You can help as well
Every contribution makes a difference. Whether you can spare a few hours occasionally or would like to become more regularly involved, there are plenty of ways to help. You could assist coaches during training sessions, help set up and pack away tables, support the organisation of tournaments, or use your creative talents to produce photography, videos and social media content. If you enjoy practical work, maintaining and repairing our tables is always appreciated, while those with access to larger vehicles can provide invaluable help transporting tables, equipment and other items when needed. Whatever your skills or experience, volunteering is a rewarding way to support your local table tennis community, meet new people and play a part in the continued growth of our sport,
